The idea for this book all started with the question "I don't know how you do it?" I constantly heard this, from my mother-in-law, co-workers and friends. After hearing it enough I began to ask myself the same question…how do we do it? How do Arnie and I manage our life in a way that rewards us, makes us happy, feels balanced, and fulfills us. I began to write down all the things that I did on a daily, weekly, or monthly basis that helped us keep things organized and saved us time, even tracking them daily as my "research." While on my maternity leave with Sarah I decided to try to write my book, so I could share my tips and timesavers with other women in similar shoes to myself…I am hopeful that perhaps I can help some people like Arnie and I, busy people who strive to have it all, but realize it is difficult to have it all at the same time. If I can save households' time, which allows parents to spend more time with their kids, or help women set better expectations so they can feel that they succeed every now and then vs. the constant feeling of failure (even though they haven't) then it will all be worth it. I hope you enjoy this simple book on life, tips, and ideas that may allow you to feel like you know how to manage it all and, at times, actually feel like you have achieved it all.
